Like most people of a certain age, I sometimes think about how I’d like to be remembered, after I’m gone. When I’m here on SSI, I love walking along the shore reading the bench memorial plaques (I wrote about them five years ago, too: https://wordpress.com/post/jancoates.ca/1967)- such a thoughtful and meaningful way to remember loved ones, while at the same time sharing a beautiful spot for passersby to sit and enjoy the view! I hope you’ll enjoy reading these ones – what would you like your family to write about you?

I’m amazed at folks who think about being remembered, because for the most part I don’t think I will be 😉
I hope you continue to remind us for many (many) years of who you are and what you care about.
Interesting – I’m sure you’ll be very well remembered by the people who matter – and what else counts? Hope you’re well and looking forward to summer!
I just hope they remember how much I loved them.
Really, that’s what it all comes down to, isn’t it? Hope you’re well!
Lovely pictures, Jan! I’m so glad you made it to a sunny climate for a while (it is cold and windy here in Wolfville!).
I want to be remembered for having pursued a simple life that, perhaps counterintuitively, was full of adventure. And laughter – I want to be remembered for being quick to smile and for always aiming to bring a smile (and laugh) to others.
It’s interesting to think of what’s important to us, isn’t it? See you next week!
Great photos, Jan. Looks very stress-free. Whatever I’m remembered for, I hope it will be for more than my height–or rather, lack of. 😉
Pretty sure you’ll be remembered for your kindness (plus your height):) See you sometime!
